Hello to everyone. It’s that time of year again; March is quickly approaching, and you all know what that means… The dance, as always, falls on the first weekend in March: the 4^th and 5^th this year. There are a record number of students signed up for the dance this year, 570 (40 more than last year). Even after the usual number of student drop out of the dance, we should expect a group of more than 500 students. Record numbers of students mean that we need record numbers of Alumni. 2004 Alumni

It is great to see that so many of you are interesting in continuing your involvement in such a great event. A lot of you have sent emails asking how you sign up or what you have to do to become an alumnus… There has never been a real formal sign-up process for Alumni, but with the rising number of our group, we have found the need to have our own brief registration. It basically involves filling out a medical form and letting us know if your contact information if up to date. Alumni are not required to raise money before the dance, but it is encouraged. The more money we can bring in, obviously the more it will help the dance reach the goal of breaking last years total. YOU SHOULD NOT CONTACT ANY LOCAL BUSINESSES. They have already been contacted by the Prize Patrol. If you have a business that you think might not have been asked, or if you are away at college and want to ask them for a donation, please contact Liz Lanfear at littlezorba19@hotmail.com .
2005 Alumni
Alumni will have a short sleeve and long sleeve shirt this year, and prices will be around $20 as usual. You are not required to buy a shirt, but that is where a large amount of the Alumni Fund comes from. I have ordered 25 dozen shirts in all (including more smalls and mediums than past years as well as the XXL’s)

Alumni may come and go as they wish, within reason. We ask that if you plan on spending the night that you arrive before midnight when the school is locked down. There is little or no admittance after the building is secure. We know that this is a fun weekend and that a lot of friends are home for the weekend, but we cannot stress enough the importance that you do not go out partying and then head over to the High School. Please think of what this event represents, use common sense and do not come to the school under the influence. We ask that you follow the schools rules: No weapons of any kind (including pocket knives), no public displays of affection, and no one will be allowed on the dance floor except registered dancers and alumni. Remember, we are most helpful at the dance. There is always something you can do to help out.

We will need as many Alumni as possible at 4-4:30 on Friday the 4^th. We are going to try to improve on last year’s registration process. Kyle Noonan along with Shaun Cumm and Dan Buckley, will need a group of people helping out in the parking lot. And we will need several groups helping out inside the school (helping out with the transfer of food in the kitchen, set up of t-shirts, alumni registration, and the largest number of people to bring bags up to rooms). We are hoping to get at least 60 Alumni here during this time to help make things run smoothly.
